The Babson Energy and Environmental Club (BEEC) is committed to fostering innovation by connecting graduate students to all aspects of the energy industry by:

  • hosting educational events designed to provide insight into current industry related opportunities.
  • connecting alumni to BEEC and its members.
  • helping students gain new internship and employment opportunities within the energy industry.
  • supporting student led entrepreneurial endeavors that demonstrate a strong adherence to sustainable business practices.

While BEEC is committed to building partnerships across all areas of the industry, the club's activities focus particularly on sectors that seek to generate energy in the most technologically efficient means or by minimizing carbon by-products.

The Babson Energy and Environmental Club (BEEC) is a carbon neutral organization, purchasing carbon offsets to counterbalance the carbon dioxide emissions resulting from our events and activities. The club’s purchase for the 2007-08 academic year offsets approximately 1% of all carbon emissions generated from energy consumption and heating applications at the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business this year. BEEC’s Green-e certified offsets have been purchased through Carbonfund.org, a non-profit organization that supports renewable energy, reforestation and energy efficiency projects worldwide to reduce carbon emissions and the threat of climate change.
